Okay, I can give you a quick rundown on the basics of face make up!
First, the reason you're getting graininess with powder is because it's trying to absorb any moister from your face. You will need a foundation, but if you want something a bit less heavy, try a BB Cream. They're like a moderately tinted face cream. Use the powder on that and you'll get a good finish.
With eye makeup, I always suggest starting with earth-based tones (think beige, light brown, fawn, golds, etc) with a few veeeery minor darker tones (mauve, red based purple, etc) as accents for the outer eye, never the inner!
Take some time to watch liquid eyeliner pen tutorials on youtube because once you can get a basic cat eye, your look will look more polished.
For now, stick to very basic "nude" tones for lip, then once you're more confident, move to reds and find one that matches your skin tone.

Hey man, I feel you. Pressure from family is tough to deal with, but on that front I can't really help you. I left home at 17 and have had no contact with them since so I don't really remember what that pressure is like personally.
The only things I can suggest is to change up your surroundings, whether its living somewhere else (if you can), travelling (again, if you can) or meeting a new group of people who can help bring out the best in you. I know shit like this is usually frowned upon, but even speaking to someone (counselor, psych, etc.) can be helpful just to sort out your brain and get shit into perspective. I did it when I was diagnosed with a chronic pain issue and it's helped me stay level headed.

My partner has/had severe anxiety. Like, couldn't leave the house, couldn't drink coffee. Three years later, he's just graduated, has two jobs and I guess me, but mostly he's learnt how to cope with it and it doesn't effect his life anywhere near as much as it did thanks to regular therapy. Honestly these kinds of life choices are so hard to help people with. Like, my partner just graduated from a gaming design course and was freaking out because there aren't a lot of opportunities in Aus for this shit but on the day of his grad got an offer to publish the game his group made for their final project.
Basically, don't sweat it, keep an open mind, talk to people and opportunities will open themselves up to you.
