>they most likely include neuromorphic chips (or they will very soon)

How do you feel about sending an actual form of artificial life to fight and die in a human war? Will the robots be pissed at us for sending their brothers to die?

No because if and when we do create actual intelligent AI, they wont be beholden to the same emotionally based moral standards as humans.

Even if this does count as "life", life in and of itself, has no inherent value.

Bullshit

I bet you have never coded an evolutionary algorithm or similar.
>>
>>8196423
I bet you don't know what you are talking about :^)
>>
>>8196423
I haven't, but I've done a bit of AI.
What's a good toy problem to teach evolutionary algorithms?
>>
>>8195832
No, the brain of the robot will be backed up in real time so he will never die and his brothers don't will be mad.

delete this thread please.
They probably just used an optimization algorithm to find a good wing shape or a good flight AI. Nothing special.
>>
>>8197133
No /sci/entist has ever claimed that. Other boards just make that assumption then get asshurt when we disappoint. 4chan is an imageboard for your INTERESTS, not SKILLS.

[math]R=\frac{V}{SFC}\frac{L}{D}ln(\frac{W_i}{W_f})[/math]

R - range
V - velocity
SFC - fuel consuption
L/D - lift to drag
Wi - dry weight
Wf - final weight (sic)

>using the following design variables: fuselage diameter, fuselage length, cruise altitude, take-off weight, wing span, wing chord, horizontal tail span, vertical tail span, angle of attack, location of wing and location of the tail

may people would wish designing "good" planes was this easy.
just because it's from stanford it doesn't mean it's automatically good
