They are real and alive.they use the rest of the human body to reproduce.from an evolutionary standpoint you can view skeletons as organisms that are subject to natural selection pressure to benefit the human bodies they use to reproduce.
Its a kinda silly view of things as it makes more sense to look at genes or whole animals as units of natural selection.
