Ok /sci/
/k/ here
i know this is cringe as fuck
but i want to understand "science"
specifically chemicals
I want to understand them
i want to know how they interact, and why they do these reactions the way they do
I've been thinking of science as "these nerds make this and it does this"
but i want to go in depth
I am currently in the navy, but will go to college in some scientific field, need help knowing which one
which is why i come to you
help me
understand science

Time to get off 4chan.
Read the sticky.
It seems like you want to get into chemistry, as the other anon said.
Khanacademy is good for all the basics, but textbooks should help when you're reading further.
Reminder that it won't be particularly easy, and you'll have to remain consistent and be rigourous.
And for fuck's sake, get off 4chan.

Troll on /sci/ for a while, avoid all the math stuff. Enough people ask about sources that you'll find good stuff if you piggyback on other peoples threads.

If you want to memorize a bunch of reactions, then study chemistry.
If you want to understand how the chemicals exist and how they interact, study physics

>Memorize a bunch of reactions
Kek. You have no idea what chemistry is.

t. someone who didn't go beyond gen chem

well, just go to university after your time in the military is up. major in Chem. don't see why this is cringy. seems like just a pretty honest interest and the means to study it without debt.
Op chemistry is boring as fuck and you sound too dumb to make any progress. You don't need an in depth education to appreciate science, just watch videos and read articles for the layman.
