Only people who have never been to university get mad about this shit. It's not uncommon for universities to have retarded easy classes like video game history or comic book lit classes.
These courses are there for a reason. They're there so that the retarded athletes who barely made it into the university don't have to drop and can continue making bank for the university.

Yes, we all know that university sports departments get ridiculously high budgets and coaches are paid more than everyone else at the university, but they also bring in a lot of money.
It's maybe not a very good reason but it's a reason nonetheless.
This meme course isn't going to be a required course in the comp sci program or anything like that. It's just going to be a random course that people can choose to take as an elective. It will probably only be taken by retards and lazy students who want an easy A and aren't actually interested in learning.
>Majoring in something that you can learn everything exclusively from reading.
Print out the curriculum and syllabii, read the textbooks, change major to something more useful, and boom.

You mean like everything? No one needs to go to college if they just want to learn. And they can do that on the internet easily.

Not him, but not everything can be learned by just reading, far from it. Science majors like physics, chemistry and biology require spending time at the laboratory, which is part of both the understanding of the material as well as its application.

Double major. You can do scholarship in history and actually get a job too.
>>8146776
This. In history you wont learn a useful skill any employer would pay for. Keep history a hobby.

I'm not convinced physics requires formal education.
Biology and chemistry maybe. Formal education is best for things like economics, where you need connections, and even philosophy, where you need your head held outside of your ass.

Cool, what's your second major?

If you don't want to be history highschool teacher, then don't major in it. Better do Accounting or EE.
Don't. Just don't.

get a minor in it if you like it

Comp. Sci

Look at majoring in sociology with a minor in something more job applicable (e.g. biochem, foreign language, business, comp sci, etc.). The sociology and history departments are often related but sociology tends to have lab and math options available. Hope you already write alot about history as is because you should major in something that is pretty much your hobby. Oh and your choice of school will be very important when it comes to a major like this. And be careful of all the SJW/liberals.
