Gee I wonder why
>>

he drank a potion of wisdom which sucked the iq points from his central movement system part of his brain and moved them to the science part.

IQ test shows nothing.
I saw people with IQ less than mine. And they seemed more intelligent.
>>
>>8141143
When Hawking was an undergrad at Oxford he started developing the first symptoms of ALS. He became worried that this was affecting his intelligence, so he took an IQ test, just to be sure.

Fuck off, sci is also for solving probability problems and sharing the college you go to.

Underage detected. The entire board is forbidden for you.

IQ means nothing, dedication, luck and wisdom do. The latter you get (maybe) with age. When i was 20 i also thought im the shit.

This. IQ means nothing.

And I'm not just saying that because of my small IQ

>take IQ test
>every question is "what comes next in this pattern"
>several of the questions were sequences of numbers
>when i'm finished it tells me my IQ is 140
>to see the rest of your results, send us $20

>find another IQ test
>literally just hundreds of basic arithmetic problems
>answer every single one of them wrong on purpose
>tells me my IQ is 120
>to see the rest of your results, send us $50

>ask local psychology professor for printed IQ test
>this time it is almost entirely philosophical problems or moral dilemmas
>when i'm finished, i calculate the results manually
>tells me my IQ is schizotypal

you just cant win with this stuff
>>
>>8142482
IQ science is pseudoscience
>but muh genetic correlation
depending on what your definition of intelligence is (basically whatever you're looking for as an indicator if intelligence) you will find different correlation

like how shoe size isn't really correlated to dick size, but dick size and shoe size are both correlated to height
>>
>>8141143
Chad can say this. Chad can shout "loser!!!" when he sees a nerd. Stephen Hawking is a nerd himself. Some jock should give him a wedgie.
>>
>>8141568
According to the movie, his first symptoms were at the start of hid phd at Cambridge
>>
Why don't we estimate intelligence by the number of neurons or synapses in their brain or something?(factoring in different types of neurons)
Are there any other reasons excluding "because it takes too much resources?"
>>
>>8142541
if you're going with just raw numbers of neurons... shouldn't whales be the smartest creatures on earth?

If you're going by how often those neurons get used, as well as how many there are, dolphins should be smarter than us as well, right? Since they sleep with one half of their brain at a time?

And whenever someone has an epileptic seizure they're actually having a 'smart-attack', right?
