Oops, you're right, sorry. I'm actually a sociology major, minoring in political sciences. Physics is my hobby and love for life. I've actually just finished reading Asimov and trying to get into Feynman, but man, is it hard. This is some next level modern quantum string physics I've never seen before.

It would really drop the field strength. To make an electromagnet that is equally as strong in water as it is in air you would need to feed in much higher voltages, like 120V AC.
