it's called a kinetic weapon.

Space faring race capable of producing that sort of energy (assuming things work like we think they do) isn't likely to have a lack of resources.

I know there's a "humans fuck yeah" copypasta that goes along those lines. Aliens see humans, get scared, send said relativistic pebble. Humans evolve into something wonderful before bomb gets there.
