Is the night sky nothing but a hologram? They say you dont get stars in picture of space when taken from outerspace because the sun is to bright or not enough exposure. But thats bullshit. With no atmosphere to reflect the suns light, nothing but direct sunlight at the camera would even have an effect.
We can go outside on any given clear night and get pictures of stars with a shitty smart phone but they cant point a camera in to blackness and get some stars? Im calling bullshit.

There's plenty of atmosphere reflecting the sun's light. It's that giant planet taking up most of the picture. Try taking a picture with a spotlight pointed at the camera. That's what taking a picture of earth and trying to see the stars is like.

It's called the Hubble Telescope, and it works very well.
What you're talking about, you high school moron, is the fact that its impossible for a camera's exposure to take in a relatively bright object (like the earth and the ISS in your photo) and at the same time show fainter objects like stars.

If you also have earth, or basically anything that can reflect light, in your picture, as yours there does, it will be extremely bright if you expose long enough to see stars. The atmosphere itself is irrelevant for why we can't see stars during the day. As long as there is anything that can reflect the suns light or the sun itself is in view, those things are going to be much much brighter than stars.

You don't need atmosphere to relfect light dipshit, try the bigass moon and planet that both reflect and absorb the suns light.
