There are 2 per sector times 3 sectors so this is 6 people per revolution. 4 revolutions per minute, so there are 24 people pass through the door each minute. 24 times 30 equals 720.

yea it actually isnt hard to see it once you do but this is totally right. there are 3 sectors holding 2 people each. thats 6 people total in 1 rotation. there are 4 rotations a minute. 4x6=24 people a minute. in 30 minutes there will be 24x30 people going through the door. therefore its 720 people in 30 minutes

3 sectors are used in a rotation you moron. its a continuous process not a series of distinct rotations, depending on which way the door starts out there are either 720 or 718 people getting through, even if you are right and the initial orientation of the door stops 1 of the sections from being used before the end, it only matters during the first and last rotation, the entire rest of the time it is in motion with all 3 sections being used
autism note: yes the problem doesn't entirely specify the motion of the door, it assumes you go outside in your life and have encountered a revolving door before and have seen how they work
