If all numbers can be found in infinity, does that mean all our math relates to a single point in some kind of dimension of infinity? Would it be an infinity inside a larger infinity?

Would you mind explaining that sentence?

If all regular numbers can be found in infinity, and infinity is a single unit, does that mean it can be represented as a point in a set, or an object, and if it can, what are the other points or objects in said set? And what does the whole of the set represent?
>>
>>8076341

Infinity doesn't exist in our universe.
>>
>>8077703
>infinity is a single unit
Its isn't a unit, it is an unbounded upper limit.

The set of all numbers is represented by infinity.
>>
>>8077718
But it is a unit of infinity, right? 1 infinity = 1 infinity? So, couldn't you count it in its' own set? And there must be bigger infinities than just standard numbers, so would the infinity of our standard numbers fit inside the larger infinity as one part of the set that makes up that larger infinity?
>>
>>8077735
1 infinity = 10 infinity times 186547.999 infinity

Infinity is the upper most upper limit.
>>
>>8077718
Sets are Gross.

Infinity is an extended real number thats greater than every real number. Thats it.
>>
>>8077746
Infinity + infinity = infinity
and
Infinity + (any real number) = infinity
I get that

But what about infinity + a? Or any other non real number? That has to make a larger infinity than an infinity of only real numbers.
>>
>>8077747
>real number
No, it is a limit, it is neither extended, real, nor a number.
>>
>>8077753
Nope and its no larger than two sets of real numbers or even an infinite copy of real numbers, either because it has no end because it is the uppermost upper limit.
>>
>>8077708
0.999... = 1
that's an infinite amount of 9s
1 exists

infinity is like cancer, there are lots of different kinds of it

The second argument of the limit IS any extended real.

>>

The number system is extended, not infinity.
Infinity is the sequential limit, it is not real or a number, as pointed out in your own little wiki link.

That is half of an XBox One, how does that picture equal .999 with infinite 9s?
>>
>>8077892
idk, ask MS, they built it
>>
>>8077956
I just heard back, basically, they said it doesn't since xbox is just intellectual property, it is a brand, it doesn't actually exist.
>>
>>8077886
I didn't say they were reals. They're extended reals. They belong to the set of extended reals, but not the set of reals
>>
>>8077982
>They're extended reals
No they aren't, they are the unbounded limits of the extended real number system, the limits aren't numbers nor are they real or fixed, they tend towards a boundary while remaining unbounded and acting as a semantic limit on any set of reference with no known bound.
>>
>>8078003
Don't supertasks have a fixed start and end point with an infinity?
>>
You forgot to make your image a gorilla, OP.
>>
>>8078736
I don't understand what you are referencing.
>>
>>8078728
No, that is just a misinterpretation of the nature of time when misguided philosophers tried to assume the amount of time between each second is infinite.
