Can we have a sci videogame develop thread?
simulations are welcome here too.
Play my game, /sci/.

I think demoscene is more up /sci/ alley.
Search for Revision demoparty.
Throughout shader showdown competition last year (live coding event) few people made amazing stuff.
So if you are into math check that out.

Also op since you mentioned simulation this year 64 kilobyte into they used raymarching, two kids of volume rendering, two types of fluid simulation, impact simulation on a sphere, and the rings are made by a guy that works in Finland meteorological institute that got from work some paper on the Saturn and used it to simulate gravity resonance, particle size and whatnot.

What about a game that's a simulator? I've even got a basic genetics system and stuff for breeding.

Get the fuck off my boards, CS faggots. Go back to your autism containment board called >>>/g/ethefuckout

>cs is anywhere near the same ballpark as applied math
Haha, oh wow
>>8057757
cs is, but not most of what is taught as 'cs' which how to use a fucking loop and if statements to make a shitty videogame.
>>8057807
Hey, Ive been studying programming, and doing those shitty if and then statements to make shitty games in unity.
What do you suggest I code, so im /sci/-tier?

Start studying numerical methods you enormous pleb

Now why can't we make video games run this well when looking this good with such small file size.
>>8057816
Would this be making programs that do complex equations for you. preferably in C++? because, thats what I wanted to learn next.

Because that few minutes of glory required one year work of 6 people.
Optimization costs a lot of money and time so it is something studios dont have.
