Look, if youre gonna pirate books with a VPN chances are you won't get caught. This isn't a guranteee but you're pretty damn safe. As for keeping them on gdrive, why would you tempt fate? Keep them safe on a encrypted USB drive or a virtual encrypted volume in your dropbox.

Here's some advice, there's a new website that just opened up shop called Google, where you can search for anything you want. It's amazing, you can even search for, I don't know, safety precautions to take while torrenting shit. It's a much better place to learn about how torrenting works than a scientific discussion bored.

textbooks arent one of the items which are heavily sought after by copyright trolls - these include porn, new american tv shows/movies, and disney movies
so its pretty safe to torrent textbooks, but if you are willing to / can afford to use a VPN then go ahead, its not like it will hurt
and saving them in google drive is fine, they wont copyright strike you on something inside, the only dangerous thing to store in google drive is cp or porn or something illegal like that
