How feasible would you say this is, /sci/?

Hull of a boat of course easy. If fly up with low speed, hull can be cheap. Management panel by modern electronics. Fuel and Engine may be more tricky. May be fuel can be from Thorium Reactor and and an engine by Biefeld–Brown effect, but I do not calculated this, just an idea flying in air.

Well that makes sense, because in the source material starships are built in a drydock orbiting earth, as pictured here
>>
Well, i hope they do it. At least it would be fucking SOMETHING

Yeah, these kinds of ships are made just for space travelling not to land on planets. I don't think we could possibly send something this heavy in space with earth's gravity

Don't tell JJ Abrams that. In his movies, his version of the Enterprise is built on Earth despite it being over 3x as large as the original Enterprise
>>
It's something that could be done - whether it is something that should be done is another question altogether.

There is not many practical applications for space exploration yet.
Its all a matter of cost vs payout. And it will remain this way until our species unifies and put our survival as our foremost goal.

Hope for a giant meteorite.
