Anyone here listen to music while studying? And what kind of music is the best? Currently listening to Vivaldi classics.
Paganini's 24 caprices help me study when I get unfocused, because I tune in and realize how pathetic and unskilled I am
>>8006298
I don't listen to music when I do other things
I start focusing on the music and not on what I'm doing

This.
stop the fucking music you adhd faggot
Usually musics from games or movies. Those are they are mostly made/selected to run undisturbingly in the background.

Heifetz
What's the point of listening to music if you're not paying attention to it? I wouldn't even call it "listening" because listening requires your attention.
So yeah, you're a faggot OP.

I have them with Oistrakh, Heifetz, and Milstein.

white noise is the only acceptable noise while studying.

Only when doing math or other calculation based work. Can't listen to music when I'm doing proofs or writing.
Anyway , it's a mix of "classical" like Rachmaninoff, electronic stuff , heavy metal ( usually stuff like Sabbath or Kyuss are good for studying, extreme subgenres not so much), or popular hip hop like eminem, Kanye, etc... Really just depends on the mood I'm in. The type of music doesn't really matter so much as it being rhythmic enough to keep me on pace , or with classical it has to be complex enough to make me feel like studying.

Postgrad. Mostly listen to alt/hard/modern rock while working/studying, I like metal when I'm doing something where I need to be programming.
>>8007671
Personally it helps me focus when I can pretend to be like some far inferior version of Von Neumann for a while.
Bruckner, zelenka, and stravinsky are my squad.
I don't listen while studying though, fuck that.
I listen to schnittke while I'm studying since it's so shit that I don't feel bad for not listening.

Listen to this and tell me this isnt the work of God.
Just dont mind the main violinist, and focus your attention on Putin as a conductor, where he really shines through

can you autists stop posting classical? we get it, passing calc III puts you above the vulgar popular music. Classical sucks anyway, boring as fuck. If you want to listen to something intellectual yet not autistically dry then listen to jazz.

Lisa plz

I've seen many people in the sciences tend to be veeeeery insecure of their intelligence and feel the need to flaunt themselves
>>8009004
Why do you think were in the sciences in the first place?
>>8009001
Don't talk on things you don't know anything about please.

Homer, dont you go on insulting jazz, you know how Lisa gets.
>>8008997

I have issues with motivation and discipline, so driving, repetitive and oppressive ambiance is helpful. Random blaring sirens keep me alert and remind me of the sacrifices that I need to make to cultivate my own mental industry.
Black metal is also useful in helping me find the proper amount of comfy melancholy and despair to know that I'll ruin my own life if I don't study harder.

I also can't listen music while I'm studying because it draws too much my attention, but I often listen music before I start studying and that usually makes me somehow more concentrated.
