your ability to see colours is determined from your x chromosome
males only have one x chromosome so they are more prone to colour blindness
girls have two x chromosomes and the second acts as a backup for the first so if there are any deficiencies the second chromosome will repair the one being used
this test has nothing to do with gender but how good/undamaged your x chromosome is

I would just like to point something out. The color palettes used by various browsers and operating systems means that the colour range I am seeing may not equal the colour range you are seeing. Even the various screens change it.
Anyone who deals professionally with colour knows this, and uses physical samples to determine choice.

"Colour" is an illusion anyway, it's just a purely subjective and hardwired way how our brain(let)s internally represent various wavelengths of the spectrum that's capturable to the biocameras know as "eyes". How do you describe with words "<insert colour name here>" to someone who has been blind since birth? You cannot, since there's literally nothing objective about the notion of a "colour".
