How quickly can someone reasonably progress in math? How long should it take someone to be comfortably adept at single variable calculus? Multivariable calculus? Differential equations? Linear Algebra? I know everyone learns differently, so I'm asking for more of a reasonable timespan (2-3 months for example) than an absolute timeframe.
you shouldof grasp the fundamentals by the age of 12ish
Am I the only one who thinks such a question is a definition of stupidity? I mean, even if you get an answer, how can you verify it? And if you could easily verify it, why the fuck are you asking it?

high school drop out reporting in. i went through Math 050 (remedial algebra) to diff eq in 14 months.
This question is pointless since you can't generalise when it comes to something like learning mathematical concepts. Every body learns at a different pace.

He just likes thinking about learning math, not actually doing it

In my class we're doing pretty much all of single variable calc, algebra 1, introduction to linear algebra, introduction to DEs, and introduction to multivariable calc in about 5 months.
