I'll tell you all about it when I see you again.

0.01% science, mostly CGI
99.9% biblical doom prophecy

Yeah, I'm just shitposting looking for someone who actually knows the real answer. In the movie they did a good job of making the weather science sound plausible.
Highly inaccurate. Here's a good (IMO), quick overview I came across:

>Good
No.
>>7961540
how?
>tfw ocean salinity is dropping as we speak
>tfw atlantic conveyor will shut down in your lifetime
>tfw nobody gives a shit
>tfw you will be able to say you told them so
>tfw it won't matter because they'll all have starved to death while you await the same fate in the bunker you built in your garden

I thought the ocean salinity has been drastically increasing as of late because rising water levels wash and erode more salt away and thus since water freezes at a lower temperature when salt is added the melting of the ice caps is propagated, making the water rise thus making the water more and more salty.

well at least we wont lose anyone important
all the muscular and intelligent people are in the southern hemisphere anyway
>>7962770
>ocean salinity has been drastically increasing
not bloody likely m8

Holy crap I was reassured by your post but then I read the link, this is totally out of date and there is a more recent study which updates these on the basis that the instrumentation and evaluation of data is more precise. I don't have a link but it's out there. Shit we are all still doomed, and I'm still waiting for someone to answer OP, is the science plausible?
>>7960470
0% There no peer-reviewed scientific papers in the movie. That doesn't mean their "prediction" is 100% false. There's just no real science in the movie.

>In the movie they did a good job of making the bad weather science sound entertaining for normies.
