Is there a scientific way to make myself more confident and alpha and stop being a cowardly beta wimp?

Become an adrenaline junkie

Do high-dives, drive fast, etc

Do meth and fuck whores
>>
Beta-blockers
reduces the fight or flight response

alcohol also works but impairs your judgment

the rest is in your head
>>
Have lots of sex with hot women
>>
Just be yourself and everything will work out in the end ;)

Alcohol is the best answer. I don't do any business unless I'm a little buzzed, I say exactly what I want to say without any anxiety, hesitation or stutter.

GABAergic drugs in general will patch up the symptoms (social anxiety, lack of self confidence, etc.). Alcohol, benzos, etc.
But they have nasty side effects, foster tolerance, dependence etc.

Likewise dopaminergic drugs come with certain benefits and drawbacks.

But adjusting testosterone levels (aggression, assertiveness) is how to truly overcome the inner-beta. I can't advise you there because I haven't felt compelled to fuck with my body to that extent. (Definitely get a blood panel and check T levels btw)

And maybe cut down on masturbation. Nofap is retarded, but it is true that orgasm induces an elevated prolactin response in males (as animals, this keeps us from fucking until we die), and high prolactin makes you act beta as fuck and not do anything (if you have a low refractory period ignore this). Some guys can wank every day without a problem but others are better off spacing it out a bit

Compound lifts with heavy weights. When you do compound lifts with heavy weights, you're putting the most amount of stress on the largest muscle groups in the body (legs, back, core), which in turn gets your body to produce as much testosterone as it can to recover and adapt to the stress of the weight. As long as you are progressively lifting heavier weights, your testosterone levels will increase accordingly.

Also stop jerking off and watching porn. Your t-levels will fluctuate, but will increase overall more in longer periods of time than if you do jerk off. Jerking off/porn only temporarily increases your testosterone, which crashes after you stop abruptly. People throw around the chart showing it declining after a week of not watching porn, but studies show that if you wait for 3-6 months, it will increase overall more than if you kept masturbating.

1. Chronic inflammation is connected to a host of issues – depression, Alzheimer’s disease, cancer, and obesity, just to name a few. Based on research from a group of international scientists, meditation may be able to stave off this detrimental inflammation.

While investigating blood mononuclear cells, researchers found that a day of intensive practice of mindfulness meditation by experienced meditators was linked to reduced expression of histone deacetylase genes (HDAC2, HDAC3 and HDAC9) which are thought to modulate inflammatory pathways, and decreased expression of two pro-inflammatory genes – RIPK2 and COX2 [4]. These meditators also experienced changes in global histone modification, specifically histones H4 pan-acetyl (H4ac) and histone H3 trimethyl Lys4 (H3K4me3), and demonstrated faster cortisol recovery to the Trier Social Stress Test (TSST).

2, In a study published in Cancer, researchers found distressed breast cancer survivors who engaged in mindfulness meditation could maintain their telomere length, but those that didn’t undergo meditation actually saw their telomeres decrease in length [1]. Telomere dysfunction or shortening has been connected to the development of tumors and linked to bladder, bone, lung, and kidney cancer. Telomeres are also reportedly shorter in people with diabetes, heart disease, high stress levels, and they may predict diseases that are regulated by psychological stress.

3, A small study done by Dr. Dean Ornish and scientists at University of California, San Francisco found that men with low-risk prostate cancer who underwent an hour long breathing and meditation exercise every day along with other activities like yoga or walking had decreased expression in genes associated with cancer [5]. Specifically, the research team found that RAS family oncogenes (RAN, RAB14, and RAB8A) were down-regulated as a result of the activities.

4. Senior citizens interested in joining a scientific study on mindfulness were either enrolled in 8-week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction workshop or placed on a waitlist (they would get their chance to do MBSR later, but for now just completed the study part as a control group). The MBSR training reduced senior citizens’ loneliness, according to their answers on the UCLA Loneliness Scale. More importantly, the training reduced the levels of several key proteins in the blood stream. The biggest change was in NF-kB, a protein that is thought to be the main pathway for loneliness harming the immune system, but there was also a small (not quite statistically significant) drop in C-reactive protein, and hopefully in their depression risk as well.

3-6 months without masturbation feels a bit too much to be honest but I'm in no way an expert on the subject.

How about sex though? Does it have the same effect?
