Hey /sci/

Weird thing happened today. My pic related is left over boiled chicken. If you look closely, you'll see two black dots.

I was microwaving it, and out of no where I blue spark lit up the microwave. It looked like a small arc traveling across the chicken pieces.

How could this have happened I don't understand how microwaves work to begin with

Microwaves cause molecules with dipoles to vibrate. Microwave-safe is just a broad term for saying "this shit wont be resonated by microwaves therefore not heated directly by microwaves"
>>
>>7948523
dipole moment** fug
you still understand

So what about that could make my chicken have an arc go through it? Is it common for microwaved food to suddenly shoot a bolt out?

Stop puncturing your aluminium and/or tin foiling.

Blue sparks? You're in luck. It might have gellified, you know.

That's the thing. It was boiled chicken, put in a plastic container, then put into a ziplock bag over night.

I took the picture as soon as it happened, this is it inside the microwave too.

Am I gonna die?

Fucking chicken just had leftover buckshot in it because you're a retard who only buys your chicken from organic local farmers don't get your panties in a twist

It's not a banana so it's not time travel

I know this might be sudden and/or unrelated, but i am very interested on acquiring retro pc's. If anyone has the pictured model, please come into contact with us.

That explains the huge fucking arc then, plastics go fucking crazy in microwaves. Wouldn't be surprised if it contaminated the chicken.

Why isn't your chicken on a plate OP?
>>
>>7948610
Well Ididn't eat it. I'm just wondering if electricity can even arc with microwaves hitting it
>>
>>7948513
It arced because it was conductive enough
This isn't common but it can happen
Microwaves just bounce electricity around so its not really surprising that this happened
It should be safe to eat assuming the arc wasn't started by a metallic particle but even then it may be fine
>>
>>7948535
You can even make it happen with cut hotdogs. Sharp edges tend to have a higher risk. Don't worry about it. It's mainly just burned a little.

I looked it up and found two main reasons this happend.

first, the chicken dried out on a spot very fast and the electricity was conducted over the air, pic related

second, high sodium foods tend to cause sparks too did your chicken have high sodium?

This, OP. Shop elsewhere

the fuck did I just read
>>

>meat juices on the turntable

Absolutely barbaric

in which completely retarded place on earth does chicken get hunted with guns hahahahahahahahaha

chicken literally cannot fly and you can just cut their heads of where they stand because they are so slow

if you two are serious please elaborate
