Leucochloridium paradoxum.
A trematode of birds that forms sporocyst broodsacks in the ocular tenticles of snails to resemble catarpillars (they even pulse). This in turn attracts birds which consume these pseudo-catarpillars and become infected with the fluke, which can then mature to adulthood and produce eggs. The eggs are passed in the birds faeces which are then eaten by the snail and the cycle continues.
It's an ingenious and manipulative motherfucker, not to mention trippy as shit.
