Why do I have to learn this for physics? What use is rudimentary complex analysis going to have for a physics degree?
Pic related, an example of my work.

Because it's going to appear everywhere in your graduate courses.
Conformal maps/ fluid dynamics

Literally all of physics that is quantized

Just Do It fgt pls
>windows 10
>asking why you need basic complex analysis for physics
why would you even ask this question anyway?
it's math, which is basically the skeleton of physics
i would understand if you were ranting about how you had to have a certain amount of humanities hours to get a physics degree, but math?
physics is basically the science of turning word problems into math problems
if you're actually serious about this i'm worried about you

You don't.

The purpose of school is to learn facts.
The purpose of a university study is to learn to think. And the example you have is exactly that: an example of a whetstone to sharpen your mind.
Similar analysis is used in EM theory, plasma physics, thermodynamics and more.

Sounds like you have a lot more problems in your life than just physics

>browser has /v/ tab
>hurr why do i need x concept that will be required to know of in my future courses?
Your screenshot explains your retardation.

Unneeded. But extemely useful.
>11 posts and not one example of a physics question for which you need to be able to prove that a function ins analytic to be able to solve it or for what range of comlex variable a complex power series absolutely converges
brainlets.
