Sadly this may be the truth. There has been so many close calls on launching nuclear warheads already that it is only matter of time for it to actually happen. Arrogant over-egoistic leaders defend their standing not wanting to look weak in the eyes of the world. Things will escalate out of hands in the heat of the moment and suddenly WWIII. Every world war has been more devastating than previous. 20 000 years is a long time and human population may recover from that but I doubt that stupidity would vanish. Probably the best hope for mankind is to technical advancement make us too lazy to act against each other. But then there are machines for that too. So yeah, boy are we screwed.
