So......why exactly are we still using chemical rockets to go to space despite the fact the military has already experimented and FLIGHT PROVEN with fucking ELECTROSTATIC ION ENGINES and HALL EFFECT THRUSTERS decades ago?

You would think SpaceX and Blue Origin would look into this but nooooope. They're still going with the chemical rocket meme.

>Thinks he knows better than the best physicists and engineer in the world

Then why don't you go to NASA, pitch the idea to them, get hired and start earning 7 figures as the new head of engineering or whatever.

You fucking retard.

>Ion thrusters have an input power spanning 1–7 kilowatts, exhaust velocity 20–50 kilometers per second, thrust 25–250 millinewtons and efficiency 65–80%
>25–250 millinewtons
I wonder how it feels to possess no tangible knowledge of a subject, yet to be 100% sure that you know how things should be done within that subject
can someone conceive such a shit-tier thread and not once during writing think to himself "I failed physics 101, why am I so sure again that the guys at Blue Origin and SpaceX are doing everything wrong"?
