Just to be clear, I am not a flat earther, but I would just like an explanation.

The sun is not directly above the clouds in this photo. The rays are also being diffracted.

2D picture of 3D space. y it look diffent??
>>
Train tracks are parallel and yet appear to converge just like the rays.

Thanks, I knew I had heard of it before, it's all coming back now.

I'm sorry for asking a legitimate and just question about illusions, I'll go kms now.

No

Apertures act like lenses. Light bends around the edges. The hole in the clouds create a lens, the light enters the aperture and refracts outward from the parallax of the aperture.

Any real American with an aperture sight rifle knows this principle of optics.

OP, you are herefore demoted to Canadian. If you were already Canadian then you are demoted to Quebecois.

Only one person who got it right and yet 2 morons took time out of shitposting to claim it was wrong.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crepuscular_rays

>Despite seeming to converge at a point, the rays are in fact near-parallel shafts of sunlight, and their apparent convergence is a perspective effect (similar, for example, to the way that parallel railway lines seem to converge at a point in the distance).
