It looks like the climatologists are rather sloppy in their terminology. GLOBAL means just that: all over with not a single exception. Nope, not one. Ziltch.

Strangely, now it appears that their theories (*) predict a regional cooling in the North Atlantic. When this first appeared a few years ago I asked about it and got handwaving back. Now they say they have predicted it all the time and handwaving reaches relativistic velocities.

It is looking more and more like string theory where nothing is predicted and everything is explained in hindsight. Terminology is all over the place and that makes them invulnerable to criticism.
