It doesn't, your genes would matter a lot less than your behaviour in immortality world. A harmless NEET being sustained forever is less of a problem than someone known for assaulting and hurting other people, because a permanent injury lasting forever is going to be more strongly frowned upon than a useless eater in a basement.
