Hey /sci/.
Im awful at math. Or rather, I have terrible math anxiety and I guess what you would call "technique."
To me, I see math as steps to solve a problem;
Step A, then B, and so on and so fourth.

Thing is, I mess these steps up.
Im currently learning Quadratic Functions. Specifically, "Completing th Square" and "Vertex Form."

Math stresses me out, and it ruins my day due to my inability to use proper form while solving problems.
I really need advice. I don't want to be put into an easier class. Please help me.

What can I do to improve my solving techniques?

Are you self teaching or is your professor just that bad?

1. Stop blaming "math anxiety."
2. Solve more exercises

It's not hard.

Or rather, the method of understanding something isn't hard. Sometimes understanding is difficult, but that just means you need to do more work.

Are you having trouble understanding the concept or do you just forget how to do something and make errors? Open up an algebra textbook and read the book's method of solving or go to khamacademy and hear sal's lucious voice. Learning it from something else can be helpful in understanding a topic. If it's practice you need, download some worksheets or find more practice from your teacher.

Look at worked examples.
Most importantly, practice practice practice. It's the only way to get better.
