when fusing , the weight of the helium is a bit less than the weight of both hydrogen atom. using the whole e=mc2 thing you can find out how much energy is released. i think we did it in highschool at some point.

it's not normal hydrogen that fuses, it's deuterium with an extra neutron or tritium with 2 extra neutrons. That also accounts for the energy that is released. Also you drawing of hydrogen is false it misses a neutron.
