Help me out /sci/
>240 tickets to a concert
>Expensive ticket cost 200$/each (x)
>Cheap tickets cost 100$/each (y)
a,
x+y = 240 (1)
b,
200x+100y = 33 000 (2)
How many tickets of x,y is there?
pic obvs not related.
Look up diophantine equations and solve for yourself. You fuck
240 - y equals x. Plug into the second equation. Solve for x. Then solve for y

dind't understand really math teacher sucks to many dics
She has no time to help her students
Can i do this?
200x+100(240-x) = 33 000

It's not even diophantine.
It's pretty simple anon. If we rearrange both equations to find y in terms of x, we can then compare these two forms of y to evaluate x (and plug back in to any of the original equations to solve for x).
y = 240 - x
y = (33000 - 200x)/100 = 330 - 2x
240 - x = 330 - 2x
x = 330 - 240 = 90
y = 150
90 + 150 = 240
200(90) + 100(150) = 33000
Both of these check out.
Now next time pay attention in class and learn for yourself, you will never get anywhere unless you learn for yourself.
