Is this real or CGI ? We've been debating with a friend and the movement when it starts bouncing looks really odd.

Ask your mom to jump on a trampoline to find out

you honestly can't tell that it's real?

I honestly can't

Seems slightly sped up, maybe?

Perfectly plausibly real. No reason to doubt it as fake (but I guess it is also perfectly technical for it to be CGI work, really good CGI at that). The only reason the bouncing looks "odd" is because the center of mass is moving due to the spinning mass in the center, and because the tumbling of the objects in the center. Think of it as two sin waves with variable wavelength added together. The first wave is the bouncing in the trampoline. The second wave is the spinning of the machine's center. Together you get a complex sin wave with unpredictable amplitudes and wavelength.

It looks honestly real
