Does introducing heat into something make it slower or faster, why and can you give an example?

A cup of hot water moves at the same speed as a cup of cold water, 0 m/s.

Temperature is a measurement of the vibration of atoms, thus gradually raising the temperature of liquid water will eventually cause the molecules to vibrate so quickly they change state into gas.

even under pressure?

Depends on the pressure. Familiarize yourself with state diagrams. The center of the earth is solid because the pressure is so high, for instance.

Temperature is basically a measure of the average random movement of molecules. Adding more heat energy to the system means individual molecules will move faster. This is why pressure increases inside sealed containers of gas when you heat them - there are more collisions against the wall per unit area per time (try plugging the steam hole on a rice cooker and watch the pressure knock the lid open/off)

What about noble gases. They just consist of one atom and thus cannot vibrate. Do they not have a temperature?
