I've had a another try and got to ...

4sinxcosx +1 +2sin^2x=0

I've got sin^2x=(1-cosx)/2 [not as +cosx]

Also where would I go from

Use(sin2x/cos2x) = tan 2x. and (1/cosx) = secx .
Then use the double angel identities for sin2x and cos2x.

From this I got to..
