IBO HL math survivors, how hard are the final exams as compared to the coursework? Also any advice for a 1st year DP student in the course?

but that's okay because you will go into college better than anybody else in math. I didn't even need to study for most of calc II, it just came naturally to me.

It's brutal. HL exams, at least for for math, is meant to test only the brightest. Supposing you actually do get a 7, I guarantee you it's because you did 1 more question better than the next chump.

Just do SL. At the very least you wouldn't have to sacrifice a large portion of your time to do well.
