This. Humans are pretty clean and dont get eaten by animals very often. The only way animals can really get sick is if we sneeze on them, and for the most part we don't even notice if the family cow has the sniffles, much less give a shit how it got sick.

Pigs get the flu from humans all the time, and from birds, and the flu viruses shuffle their genes and they bounce it back to humans. They're colloquially known as mixing vats for the flu since they've been a factor in quite a few epidemics.

Apart from that, most animals don't live in such crowded conditions as humans which explains why they don't get sick from humans as much as we get sick from them.
