Why is this false?
>>
>>7749033
You messed up the middle part on the side
>>
>>7749033

What is this? EE?
>>
>>7749047
Yes I ignored E1 to calculate the current from E2
>>7749048
Yea
>>
>>7749033
It's just sum of currents. I1 +I2=I3. You can calculate I1 and I2 assuming you are given the values which you are
>>
Use super position. Turn one source off (short circuit) then solve then do the same with other voltage source then add the result.
>>
>>7749033
I honestly can't even read your handwriting enough to help
>>
>>7749375
I did and calculated a current from the three
but the value is wrong
>>
since we're doing homework, can i ask a question too guys
i need to find the integral of 1/(2+cos(x))^2. the range of x is from 0 to pi/2.
this is a problem from my math book and i just can't seem to solve it. tried solving it in wolfram, but the solution is really fucked up and it doesn't look like anything a first year student of construction should be able to solve with just a pen and a paper.
i'd really appreciate the help guys

Going into numbers that early is not a good idea, better do strategy -> algebra -> numbers.

As a strategy I would convert the two source branches into current sources, add the currents, calculate the total resistance (RPN is your friend) and arrive at the voltage across R1. From there all else falls into place.

Btw: E2/R3=E1/R2
>>
>>7749033
Superposition you stupid fuck. Short E2 and calcul8 the stuff you want to know. Then short E1 instead and calcul8 the stuff again
Add together and you have your answer
>>
>>7749508
That's what I did but I don't know where I went wrong

Why the fuck are you doing your homework in crayon?
>>
>>7749522
Sanity check failed - 1.6775A * 6Ω = 10V - No such source
I think I = 8.383233533e-01 A
>>
>>7749033
just use Mesh analysis
>>
I prefer equivalent transformation.
>>
oops - I2 seems to be negative
>>
>>7749033
Why voltage is "E"? I always think that voltage denoted "U" and i even think so.
>>
Next time do superposition or transformation
>>
Do superposition or mesh analysis

R1 an md R2 are not in parallel so product over sum won't work

E, V, U - it's not Sunday school, it's conventions and they exist. Simply adapt.

>>7750352
Yup, that's how you do it.
Does that mean source E1 really sinks 174 joules per second?
Pic has alternative method, same result.
Now someone post the superposition please..
>>
>>7749047
I posted this just as a "made you look/waste time"
I am a little disappointed with the outcome.

God I hate PSpice so much.

The EE department made all the other disciplines use it in the labs for their second year general EE module. I swear to god I could've written a simulation faster in Python faster than it took to figure out how to get all the needed components in that shitty GUI.

Why?

I prefer putting shit that I use on the task bar, my desktop is consequently, empty.

it's tweaked to block all sort of malware

just begas using tex since a couple of month gimme a break it's the first editor that came in the search

why not

simulator surely is a nice toy
but pen paper and a slide rule
or be a creature of the future
the ones they keep in cubicles
