What is the most interesting topic within chemistry?

DRUGS&EXPLOSIVES, FEGIT

Pretty much this
Drugs are always on everyone's mind because
1) chemists like to make shit
2) drugs are have a wide variety of structures to play with + there are multiple ways to produce it better/faster/cheaper. It's a fun competition
Explosives for 2 reasons
1) we've been drilled in the lab from day 1 that an explosion is something you never want to happen (now you get to make them)
2) explosions are fucking awesome

so you like biochemistry? let me inform that if your mother was a protein, it would have to be titin.

chemistry is absolutely useless. all chemistry can be explained by physics. all chemists are failed physicists.

lmfao
ok you autistic faggot, explain Grignard reagents
>>7744259
I bet he doesn't even know how to pronounce Grignard desu senpai.
He'd probably say 'greeg-nard'.
>>7744264
You're fucking cancer
>>7744195
brb while you spend 15 years of your life hypothesizing before your "life's work" is discovered accidentally by a chemist, who wins a nobel prize
>>7744195
physics is absolutely useless. all physics can be explained by biology. all physicists are failed biologists.
>>7744788
we were starting some fun banter here my man, but thats just retarded.
>>7744788
biology is absolutely useless. all biology can be explained by autism. all biologists are failed autists.
>>7744264
My French-Swedish professor pronounces it grug-nard, the mispronunciation is something you yank faggots made up to try and feel superior towards your fellow Americans.

actually quite easy. think about it this way: your mothers' morbid obesity is the cause of an enormous gravitational field, which of course exerts an attracting force on things in her immediate vicinity (for her, about 3 astronomic units). therefore, the tubs of lard which the rotund live-giver of the abomination known as 'you' eats on a daily basis, will orbit her. now, the carbon of a grignard reagent is highly nucleophilic because of the difference in electronegativity between carbon and alkali metals, hence like your good mother, it will attract electrophilic reagents. hope this helps.

you're thinking of alkyl lithium reagents bud

I think polymer science is pretty interesting.
Insanely practical, impacts materials industry, medicine, sustainability, etc. Very diverse field.

Polymers are the best at poly and the best at mer. I don't care if you're an amino acid or a plastic, if you're a polymer you're a pretty cool mer.
>>7744158
Beat me to it.
>>7744259
fuck man half the basic reactions don't have strong evidence for transition states
the science is a joke
