They say that injecting this in the tumor made the immune system go after the cancer cells and offered protection against metastases. Do you guys know of where reseearchers buy this kind of virus for their work? I have been searching all day but I can't really find anything. Any help or pointers would be very appreciated.

eCPMV production and characterization
eCPMV capsids were produced through agroinfiltration of Nicotianabenthamiana plants with a culture of Agrobacteriumtumefaciens LBA4404 transformed with the binary plasmid pEAQexpress-VP60-24K, which contains genes for the coat protein precursor VP60 and its 24K viral proteinase to cleave it into its mature form. Six days post-infiltration, the leaves were harvested and eCPMV extracted using established procedures47. PVPP was added during purification to remove plant phenolics. Dye-labeled formulations were made by reacting eCPMV with Alexa Fluor 488 maleimide at 2mgml–1 concentration with 10% (v/v) DMSO in 0.1M potassium phosphate buffer then purifying by ultracentrifugation pelleting. The particle concentration was measured using UV/Vis spectroscopy (ε280nm=1.28mg−1mlcm−1), and particle integrity was determined by transmission electron microscopy, fast protein liquid chromatography, and agarose gel electrophoresis. Capsid proteins were further analysed by SDS-PAGE and Western blotting. Quantification of LPS in the sample was measured using an LAL Chromogenic Endotoxin Quantitation Kit (Pierce) and revealed LPS levels below the detectable level of 50pg–50µg of eCPMV. the protocols for the transformation and bacteria/plant prep are pretty simple
you need some expensive reagents for any follow analyses but not for that step itself

If this is beyond your abilities, try Beta-glucans (killed and lysed preparation of fungi), injected at the site of tumor, if accessible.
This allows for some potentiation of macrophages / etc. to go after nearby cells.
