Hypnotism doesn't work that way in real life - snap of a finger, you're sleep; wake up, now you're a dog - but rather a state of unconscious though-process in which, in principle, the hypnotist can relate to the patient unconscious mind, used mainly for psychotherapy purposes to determine what the unconscious (the 'real' thinking of our decisions) makes a particular decision (studying one of the reasons the person is in therapy).
It can't make you do 'crazy' stuff. It isn't real in the same you see it on stage.

The idea of hypnosis, subliminal messaging, thought implanting, makes me quite nervous. I don't think hypnotism itself works unless the patient believes in it, and thus the scenery acts as a trigger for some sort of mental entrainment.
But thinking about it, what if? What if the mind has numerous logical holes, things that can't be counterbalanced or conceptualized (because they are not known to you), but have a straight path to memory or some other area. Not so much a backdoor, but an unguarded gate that can be opened if you know it's there.
I've done enough engineering of myself on my own to know how fluid personality is, and what changing even small elements in your logical framework can do for higher results. How easy it is to bury memories, create false ones, split off new layers to throw over a core personality. Etc. Once you know you can do it to yourself, you must wonder by what means, and to what extent, and when, someone could do it to you. Obviously we all control and shape each other constantly, it's not a choice, but this would be deliberate.
Don't like it. Wish all those mkultra documents survived and only I had them.

What can't happen is hypnotising someone to do something they'd never do ever, if you want to do that you need to make subtle changes over multiple sessions, honestly you kinda have the right idea though, with hypnosis you always seem to feel like you can say no when sometimes its genuinely impossible, so if you want human livedolls just combine it with standard bdsm practices, hypnosis rewards good behaviour, pain rewards disobedience
