I'm going to post some puzzles I struggled with or found challenging. I think /sci/ will like them.

What's the general name of this kind of puzzles/the test that they come from? The ones where you have to add/subtract/diff individual lines always do my head in a bit.
>>
>>7701001
Honestly don't remember where these came from. I think it's some generic online IQ test. These were some of the more difficult ones. I did manage to solve them however.

Diagonals stay same on theo outer box and contents cycle through, so 2

For the rest only god knows.
>>
>>7701084
OP here. I could post answers to all of them, except the last one. I have a hunch on that one, but I'm not 100% sure.

But since I can't spoiler mark on /sci/, and I don't want to ruin the fun for someone if they accidentally saw the answers, I'll wait a little while.

But yes, 2 is the correct answer for that one. Another way to see it is that the outer box cycles through, and there are three different sets of inner pairs, if you want, a single symbol instead of two, the triangle-square, the octagon-octagon, and the square-triangle. There are 3 of each except for the triangle-square, so it must be the one in the middle, and the next outer symbol in the set is the square, so 2 is the correct answer.

8 is my answer for this one.

This one is 4 honestly was not really hard at all.

Fron Left to right only lines that are the same move on to the third.
>>
>>7700977
pay attention to the dotted lines rotations,

makes this one an obvious 5

Each line completes a square - add all of the shapes together, and you get a square in various orientations. It's 5.

This seems like a system if equations, where each symbol represents a certain value if another... Not sure tho, can someone confirm?
>>
>>7701732
I was thinking maybe something like that too. It looks like there's some sort of operation going on. Look at the 3rd column compared to the 1st - they all have fewer shapes. That suggests some sort of operation.
>>
>>7701732
>>7701736
It also seems like the position of the individual shapes matters. Look at 3 and 7 - the only difference are the positions of the triangles.
>>
>>7701753
Youre right, i didnt even notice that
>>
>>7701094
Why couldn't it be 7?
>>
jesus is the answer

First pic = 4?

>>7701753

>>7701732
OP here, I already thought about that. Assuming left is positive and right is negative it would mean that stars and triangles are the same, and circles have no effect on the result, meaning 2 would be the correct answer. I don't know for sure though.

>>7701717
Yup.

>>7701620
Yes.

>>7701632
Also correct.
>>
>>7701778
Already have three octagon-octagons.
>>
>>7701909
>octagon
I got news for you bro
>>
>>7700984
Eh, only answer I have for this one is that there are three combinations with circles on the left, three with plus signs in the left and two with empty on the leftt plus the non-given.

So the blanks.
>>
>>7701933
Hexagon then. I always get those two confused.
>>
>>7700984
I'm actually curious if there is a solution to this. 1 and 5 look exactly the same. At least there's a different position for 3 and 7.
>>
>>7700970
cross, what the ones to the left have in common?
>>
>>7700971
4, each outer shape and inner pattern used 3 times
>>
>>7704095
I think you meant 2, by choosing 2 you get all of the symbols appearing three times total
>>
>>7701001
>>7701008
Raven's progressive matrices

Basically the best method we currently have to gather an accurate IQ.
>>
>>7704145
>>7700970
>>
>>7701620
Oh shit im retarded. I was thinking "the one they have in common" as well but i was also getting hung up on the 2nd one on the 3rd line only having 1 shape.
>>
>>7701094
No, it's 7 the answer
>>
>>7700970
>>7700971
..
Is anyone else infuriated by the dashes? What the fuck.
