What comes after multi variable analysis and linear algebra? I'm almost done with them now but I don't know where to continue in the world of math.

What about for a physicist? Already covered ODEs, PDEs and Fourier

Thank you mate, I'm actually enjoy my maths classes more than the physics ones atm, feels bad man

Really? Because that stuff is FAR above multi variable analysis and linear algebra. Why would you even mention them in this case?

Surely you can solve exercises like pic related, right?

Maybe I'm retarded but are these not a 2nd order ODE and a Fourier expansion? Covered PDEs in Thermodynamic Potentials too

Double major?

Nope, I'm in the UK so I think it's slightly different

That would be like saying you know Real Analysis if all you can do is calulate the derivative of f(x)=x^2.
>>
>>7672470
Calculus follows from real analysis?
Why do we do calc first?
>>
>>7672504
Because it's easier to understand the motivation for an abstraction after having worked with the "concrete" version. That's the reason why they don't teach abstract algebra to kids in preschool before teaching them arithemetic
>>
>>7672738
In kindergarten we only used integers until we were taught Cauchy sequences.

here ya go. go all the way to this "end" and then create your own "end":

>"Yeah I covered Fourier analysis already."

This is why /sci/ needs to be 21+.
>>
man I wish I was at you guys-es level at math

just started college so, have a long way to go
>>
>>7672439
holy shit fuck you for being a physicist and thinking this way. you have no concept of functional analysis, hilbert space, schauder basis, you don't know shit about fourier series yet.
>>
>>7672799
why wouldn't you be able to use rational numbers before Cauchy sequences?
>>
>>7673159
Maths and physics use the same tools for different things, you don't need the same rigor
