good luck anon, it's only basic algebra!

what kind of shitty teacher gives this type of problem out
Just use Wolfram Alpha theorem
>take ODE class
>write on the homework: "I couldn't figure out this integral so I just used Mathematica."
>prof writes: "Okay."

Nice troll post.
>>7638970
He obviously just typed random numbers and operators into an equation.
>>7638954
it's simple.
there are endless couples of values assignable to X and Y for the equation to be true.
>>7639012
x^2 + y^2 = 0
>>7639492
If that is actually what the equation reduces to en
x=y=0
If that is general form that it reduces to
That's still two unknowns so there is no fixed value.

hehe, since you have only one equation and two variables x and y, you have endless number of combinations of x and y in which this equation has a solution in real numbers. You can chose one parameter for x(y), find its appropriate value for y(x), substitute both variables respectively and then chose any real number to fit the equation.
>>7639513
What about i? In which case y would just be xi, yeah?
>>7639492
1 and i times a constant

I'd be surprised if this thing even has any real solutions.
