Fuck it I'm drunk so first factor out a v first then let v^2 = arbitrary variable u. Sub it in and you get a trinomial in u in the bracket part, then factor it using whatever trinomial formula they taught you.

Wolfram alpha can factor. It can do most math problems if you know how to tell it what you want it to do. Mathlab calculator on android can do quite a bit too, and it doesn't cost much. If you're having trouble with something, having the correct answer can help you work out the how sometimes. I wish this shit was around when I was in HS, because I wouldn't be in Calc II at 29 if it was. You young shits have it easy, I tell ya hwut. Then again, so do I now.
