I'm a graphic designer. I hate my job. I wanna act and sing, I know, it's gay. But the only times I ever felt I was worth anything was during movie shoots or performing in local jazz clubs.

You can take a class in acting. That way you can dip your toe and see if you're any good without quiting your day job. If you've got any talent, there are ways to make a living in acting, but you should start slowly.

I've studied acting for a couple years, got an agent, get couple auditions a month, did a few student films and am in a fringe play
Just finished shooting a little student thing, it was a week long, and every time one of these things end I get this intense feeling of worthlessness
