I always thought that 4chan was a serial killers' website.I don't know, now I visited it and there's nothing strange as the internet say, but I'm still not sure it's a safe website. Am I a bad person?

Depends, they probably meant /b/, which used to be an amazing memefactory that was fucking amazing, then it got popular and turned to shit, now there is [s4s], s4s is a bit like what /b/ used to be except with friendlier people and less porn and gore. The other boards are pretty normal.
