I don't know how to feel about the artificial hair. It's a fun look, but somehow the mixing of the artificial hair with the exposed real skin, just clashes. So I read that chlorination of latex makes it a "little brittle." Sounds like bullshit, bu wanted to know everyone's opinion. Is it true? I thought I remembered reading that chlorination helps aid the life of latex. Of course this is from LC so what's the deal? Is it BS or is does it hold some truth?

Makes it smoother so if you skimp on lube when dressing up, there's less tension, but you can't shine it up as much as non-chlorinated. As far as brittle, I heard that if you overdo it, especially on thin pieces, like 0,2mm, it can turn into something more resembling pvc, so that might be what they meant.
Personally unless you really enjoy the whole lube and dance routine when dressing up or you want your stuff to shine like a mirror, I'd say it's much better. No problems with lube, doesn't cling to your skin so much and I suspect due to that it should last longer is the material doesn't get stressed so much. The downside is that you can't repair any tears without sanding down the chlorinated layer, since that can't be glued together again and I suspect it would still look pretty bad.

I have an item that has been chlorinated and haven't noticed a difference in the quality. While yes, it was easier to put on, it didn't seem brittle. All of my other items are non-chlorinated, but I want more chlorinated items so I can ditch the expensive lube. At least for the harder-to-put-on things like a catsuit or and full body suit for that matter.
As for repairs, I did not know that. The previous items that have broken on me in the past (3 to be exact) have all been thrown away, or have found another use as experimentation pieces or whatever other use I can get out of them. Those were small and inexpensive pieces too, so no real big loss there. I was just reading through and thought I'd ask as I haven't heard such a notion on chlorination. Thanks for the response as well.

Personally speaking, I don't think there are any significant downsides to chlorination and almost every major manufacturer should offer it in a few years, some already do and even free of charge (futurefetish.eu) The fact that you can just pick the garment and put it on is awesome, same goes for storing it, it doesn't stick to itself, so you just wash it, dry it and put it back.

When you chlorinate, do you just try and chlorinate the inside to keep the outside shiny, or do you have to do the whole piece?

Neither has any polish, see if you can tell which is which.
If you're doing the chlorination yourself, you COULD try to do just one side, but it'd be pretty hard for anything that can't hold the liquid/gas inside itself (i.e. gloves, stockings), and kinda pointless since you'd probably want it on the outside too.
As for that mention of being brittle earlier, I haven't noticed any difference. It's probably only at the very limits of how much it can stretch, and if you're stretching it that much already then it won't last long anyway.

I think it depends on the piece, like I can't imagine chlorinating a catsuit from only one side. Gloves/stocking would be easy, but since one of the bonuses of chlorination is easy storage, that becomes moot if you do only one side, as it would be still sticky.

Dehumanization mostly, they stop being people and turn into objects, since you can't see the eyes. They are also associated with risky environment and danger and last but not least with proper lightning you can get it to reflect off the eyes giving you a terrific picture.
They are also relatively common and easy to get.

at first it is the dehumanization aspect that >>16768031 mentioned. this effect can be achieved with "normal" masks, but is slightly stronger in a gasmask, as it hides the natural form of the head.
another aspect is, that gasmasks are predestined for breath and "smell" play. when you attach a hose to the mask (even better: a hose with a hollow dildo with some holes on the outside, see pic) you can easily block airflow and give your bottom/sub an aroma therapy (mostly flavoured with the top/dom's genital odor) which can be very arousing.

Left is chlorinated, right is not. One thing I thought might give it away is the lack of dust on the chlorinated side, while it sticks all over the non-chlorinated side.
Not sure about the swirls, maybe it's a molded-vs-sheet thing.
