The most simple recipe is to mix cornstarch and water 2:1 and...that's it. You can make it as runny or as thick as you like depending on how much you mix.
You can also make slime with condensed milk if you want to make an edible version, or borax if you want it to be really goopy. It's mostly household stuff, too, so you won't need to spend a lot to make it.
