Success isn't impossible for us. The fact that we got into uni says there is potential in us. Back in 2010 I used to watch a video game stream. This was before Twitch and YouTube had monetised the shit out of it and it was just small communities entertaining each other.
One of the streamers, a hilarious charming guy who was a fantastic voice actor, hit it off with a female viewer. He actually ended up meeting her irl and they had really good chemistry. She was beautiful too, literal 8/10 minimum.
They got married a few years back. She got seriously ill last month and is likely going to die soon.

Video games absolutely can be considered art, but the games that are pushed as artistic just aren't games. I honestly doubt most people who buy/play video games buy them for their artistic merit. I mean, if they did, would games like Call of Duty, The Division, Destiny etc. be successful? Probably not.
I'd argue that a game like Everybody's Gone To The Rapture should be classed more as an "interactive movie" above a game. There's very little in the way of gameplay, or a challenge. It's entirely possible just to walk through the game world, interacting barely, and completing it. In the case of EGTTR, I believe there are no other characters than the player, with the rest of the story being filled out by echoes of the past. It just feels lazy.
On the other hand, something like The Witcher 3 tells a rich story in a fully interactive world of characters. It looks fantastic, the story is fantastic, and you actually feel like you're playing a game. To me, The Witcher 3 is a prime example of art in video game form.
