What the fuck is the point? It's not like you really need to see any of them, none of them are important aside from your parents who raise you. Unless you were talking to them before, why bother now?

To you. Depending on how you were raised, the country you live in, the culture of whatever group you are in or the religion you practice family could be very important.

Only a few actually arrange these "family gatherings" and most are just tagging along and only talk to the people they know, they don't try to get to know others.
They don't actually give two shits about you unless they knew you prior.
Family has no reason to be treated any different to friends. Unless you can give me a reason why they should.
