It's not horrible. Could've used a bit of trimming though. Several episodes are pretty much pointless. I'd say waiting till the show is finished so you can watch them at your own pace would be better than waiting a week at a time to get 2 episodes in a row that accomplishes next to nothing. Care to explain your criticisms? I enjoy the show but I understand why someone would hate it. The MC is irredeemably incompetent. But I like the entire analysis we get from his character. He's an otaku with an inferiority complex as evidenced by the fact that he immediately flares up the moment someone calls him out for being useless. It was amazing to watch his child-like understanding of political intrigue get his ass handed to him. Or how his oneitis explains that all he's doing, he's doing for his own ego. How everyone he forms a relationship with is treated by how much they owe him for rescuing them or how they aren't bending to his will when they refuse to help him. He thinks he's the center of everyone and that this is his fantasy world. That's why he sticks so desperately to his entire happy-go-lucky facade.
I cannot think of many anime protagonist that are so unlikable, yet have depth to them like Subaru has.
